16s Preview East Fremantle vs Swan Districts
The East Fremantle 16s Development squad will kick off their second carnival fixture on Saturday against Swan Districts, after the League game at 5pm. It looks to be a wet game with the forecast set for a thunderstorm, but that won’t stop our Sharks from hitting the ground running. After two solid training sessions during the week the boys look ready to attack.
After a lively offseason, Sharks recruit Matthew Watson is excited to be getting back to playing footy ahead of this weekend’s season opener against Swan Districts.
The big bodied full forward will surely become a fan favourite as he bolsters a forward line that is looking to remedy its goal kicking woes from late last season.

The 2016 16s Development Squad played their first fixture on Saturday 12th of March following the League team’s 1-point win over East Perth. The 16s had a scrappy start to the game with skills letting them down and allowing turnovers, but through defensive pressure and work from our midfield we managed to keep the visitors goalless in the first quarter.
