Cale Hooker has taken out the 2015 Crichton Medal for the Best & Fairest at Essendon. Cale was drafted by Essendon at pick 54 in 2007 after playing that year in the Sharks Colts & Reserves sides. Cale made his debut in Round 21, 2008 and has since played 130 games for Essendon. He was selected as All Australian in 2014 and was runner up in the Best & Fairest. Cale typically played as a key defender for the Bombers, but midway through 2015 was moved forward to fill a gap left by injuries. Since Round 14, he has averaged 2 goals a game.
The East Fremantle Football Club is delighted to announce Rob Wiley as Senior Coach of the Sharks for the next 3 years.
Rob was chosen ahead of a strong field of developing coaches from Western Australia and Victoria.
Rob’s wealth of football knowledge spanning over 40 years in the football industry and his passion to develop young players made him the ideal candidate to take over the coaching reins at East Fremantle.
East Fremantle’s interim coach for 2015, Brad Dodd, has accepted a role as head coach of development at the North Adelaide Football in the SANFL. Dodd, who came in to the Sharks’ coaching group in 2014, took over from Stephen Malaxos, when the senior side was 5-5 and although results may not have gone his (and the Club’s) way, he showed a great appetite and aptitude for coaching at senior level.

The strength of football development within the East Fremantle Districts was demonstrated again this week with Eagle Josh Kennedy winning the Coleman Medal for leading goalscorer and Carlton's Patrick Cripps awarded runner up in the NAB AFL Rising Star.
