First Match for 16s Academy
The 16s Academy Squad will play their first fixture on Saturday 12th March, 5pm at ATOM Stadium against East Perth. The team was presented their Jumpers on Wednesday 9th March, which also saw the announcement of the leadership team. The 16s will be Captained by Nicholas Watson and accompanied by Milan Murdoch (vc), Connor Douglas (vc) and Chad Sims (vc). Congratulations to the 2016 Leadership Group.
The squad started training in December 2015 under the guidance of Jeremy Bruse and assistants, Austin Ward, Daren Bell, Mark Kerspien and Team Manager Daniel Richards. We have had a number of players come and go throughout the program and now our squad sits at 40 players.
We are all looking forward to the 16s carnival in which it should show the real potential of the squad and what they are capable of doing.
