Sharks Congratulate Dodd on North Adelaide Role
East Fremantle’s interim coach for 2015, Brad Dodd, has accepted a role as head coach of development at the North Adelaide Football in the SANFL. Dodd, who came in to the Sharks’ coaching group in 2014, took over from Stephen Malaxos, when the senior side was 5-5 and although results may not have gone his (and the Club’s) way, he showed a great appetite and aptitude for coaching at senior level.
Dodd started season 2015 as the defensive line coach in the Colts, but was also working as the midfield coach for the senior group, when that role could not be filled for the start of the season. Whilst Dodd’s ambition is to still to coach at senior level, the opportunity to work in a development role is one that he feels he can really sink his teeth in to, something he really enjoyed in his initial few months working with the Sharks Colts’ players.
Dodd’s move to Adelaide, where he will join ex-Dockers team mate, good friend and ex-EFFC player Josh Carr at North, is also a decision around family lifestyle, with his partner having connections in Adelaide.
The East Fremantle Football Club’s Board, Players, Support Staff and members would like to sincerely thank Brad for his commitment to the Club over the past two years, especially taking on the very difficult and demanding task of coaching the senior list through a tough period and we wish him and his family all the best with their move to Adelaide and his role at the North Adelaide Football Club.
