Sharks ready for RediMed Colts Elimination Final
On Sunday 6th September the Sharks Colts side will play the West Perth Falcons at HBF Arena in an Elimination Final of the REDiMED Colts.
The Sharks finished the season in 4th place, one spot ahead of the Falcons. Both teams had 11 wins for the year, but a better defensive record has the the Sharks in 4th spot. The 2015 record stands at one each: last time these sides met was Round 20 where the Falcons won by 30 points, while the Sharks had a 21 point win the time before back in Round 9.
Players to watch out for will be West Perth’s Clinton Hinchliffe who came 2nd overall in the Colts Jack Clarke Medal with 33 votes and will be a key player in Sunday’s game. For the Sharks Jordon Snadden was the highest poller with 25 votes finishing in 7th. Other key players for the sharks will be Luke Strnadica, Fraser Perry, Joseph Hebiton, and Michael Cronan who all made the RediMed Colts Team of the Year. Luke has kicked 33 goals this season and finished in 3rd in the Colts goal kicking for the home and away season.
The Shark defenders will need to work hard to contain West Perth’s Mitchel Antonio who had an impressive season in front of goals kicking 40 and finishing 2nd in the leaderboard. West Perth had 3 players make the RediMed Colts team of the Year, Clinton Hinchcliffe in the midfield, Josh Rotham at centre half back and Mitch Antonio on the forward flank.
We hope to see as many Sharks supporters at HBF Arena on Sunday as possible- the boys need your support!
