Match Preview: Sharks v Tigers
The Sharks play the Tigers on Saturday 11th April at ATOM Stadium (East Fremantle Oval) with the League kicking off at 2:15pm.
James Bristow will line up for his first match of 2015, returning from injury. The backline will be without Brock O'Brien who injured his hamstring in the loss to Peel last week, he will be replaced by Thomas Hooker on the half back flank who has had strong performances in the Development League including a best on ground effort last week. Other potential ins this week for the Sharks squad are Barry Barone and Miles Franklin. If selected this week Barone and Franklin will be making their league debuts.
The Tigers are winless from their first two games in 2015, but add former St Kilda and West Coast Eagles player Beau Maister, along with Jack Beeck, Anton Hamp, and Toby Plant into their squad, with currently one out this week for the Tigers squad being defender Hayden Busher. Mark Seaby has been ruled out from a return this week.
The last time these teams meet was round 18 2014 on a wet day at Claremont Showgrounds where the Sharks went down 4.11. (35) to the Tigers 7.10. (52). However the Sharks have had the better over Claremont at ATOM Staduim (East Fremantle Oval) winning 49 of the 84 games they have played.
The Sharks Development League side are coming off their first win of the year against Peel Thunder and will look keep the winning form up as the play the winless Tigers this week. Baldave Singh will make his debut for the Sharks, he was recruited from Rossmoyne Football Club.
The Sharks Colts will hope to keep up their undefeated run in 2015 this week against Claremont. The Colts have won all three games comfortbaly so far this season but come up against a good team in Claremont who also are yet to be beaten this season, continuing on from strong seasons in the last few years.
The 16s Development Squad will play their last home game for 2015 on Saturday evening after the League game. The 16s are coming off their first loss last week and will be looking to get back in the winners circle.
