O'Brien & Stephen lead the Sharks again

The Sharks held our Season Launch last Thursday 12th March and announced the new leadership group, including Captain Rory O'Brien and Vice-Captain Andrew Stephen in their second year at the helm. Rob Young, Bradd Dalziell and Jamie McNamara all return to the leadership group, with emerging leader Matthew Jupp stepping up along with Liam Anthony in his first year back from the AFL.

The Leadership group and captains are selected by the players and are interviewed by the coaching group, before final approval from the Board of Directors.

The evening was also an opportunity for Sharks fans and sponsors to meet the entire Sharks squad, with every new player presented with their jumper.

We welcomed all of our sponsors including many news ones for 2015. Congratulations to Casey Australia Tours who won our Sponsors Draw and will now have a goal terrace sign at ATOM Stadium.

The "Mouth From the South", Tiny Holly, auctioned off groups of our players, with the successful buyer winning $$ everytime any player in their group places 1st, 2nd or 3rd best in The West's Best on Ground player rankings during the H&A season. We raised $4300 for the Club, and with the total prize pool at $10,000 there are sure to be some happy owners each week!
For those interested, the highest selling group was Group 15 and it went for $2700 to Delaware North:
