East Fremantle Football Club announces Naming Rights Sponsorship of East Fremantle Oval: ATOM Stadium
The East Fremantle Football Club is excited to announce that East Fremantle Oval will be renamed ATOM Stadium, following the signing of an agreement between East Fremantle Football Club and ATOM for the remainder of season 2014 along with seasons 2015 and 2016. The sponsorship provides a major financial boost for the Club and will inject much needed funds for facilities maintenance and football programmes.
With access to over a million industrial and safety products, a branch and logistics network covering Australia and the Pacific and a team empowered to do whatever it takes for its customers, ATOM is one of Australia’s leading industrial suppliers. ATOM has over 40 years experience in servicing the Mining & Civil, Oil & Gas, Government, Electrical, Maintenance Repair & Operations, Commercial, Construction and Engineering industries.
The East Fremantle Football Club is delighted to announce the partnership with ATOM and the renaming of East Fremantle Oval to ATOM Stadium, remarked East Fremantle Football Club CEO, Adam Kelly.
“This is a significant community contribution that ATOM is making and we appreciate the faith and value that ATOM have placed in the East Fremantle Football Club brand.”
An integral extension of the partnership with ATOM is their commitment to regional WA and the Club’s Midwest Academy which will be rebranded the ATOM East Fremantle Midwest Academy. ATOM has a warehouse in Geraldton serving the Mid West.
“Partnerships such as this one signify an organisation’s intent and commitment to support community and we congratulate ATOM for making this investment,” said Mr Kelly.
ATOM’s Group Marketing Manager, Chris Marris, commented that as a leading industrial and safety equipment supplier committed to Western Australia, ATOM is excited to announce its partnership with one of WA Football League’s premier teams, The Sharks.
“ATOM is committed to doing the little things for our customers and our community and believes this new partnership will further support this endeavour. The passion within the East Fremantle Football Club and its fans is energetic and powerful; something that we felt matched ATOM’s passion to be Australia’s fastest, most progressive and cost efficient industrial and safety supplier.”
On Saturday 2nd August, the Club will welcome ATOM as a new major partner and will be running a competition for attendees to ‘check in’ to ATOM Stadium on Facebook. Everyone who checks in will be entered into a draw to win a 2015 Great White Membership, valued at $170.
ATOM will join Bendigo Bank and Titan Ford as Major Partners of the East Fremantle Football Club. East Fremantle Football Club have played at East Fremantle Oval since 1953 and whilst it has been affectionately referred to as Shark Park this is the first Oval Naming Rights Partnership which will see a name change for the WAFL venue.
East Fremantle will play it's first game under ATOM Stadium against South Fremantle this Saturday for the Bob Uittenbroek OAM – Brian Ciccotosto Cup. Bob was General Manager at East Fremantle for 32 years, is an East Fremantle Life Member, WAFC Life Member, WAFL Life Member and was awarded an Order of Australia for services to Australian Rules Football in 2013. Brian Ciccotosto was General Manager at South Fremantle for 27 years following a 211 game playing career which included a Simpson Medal in 1970 Premiership and is also a South Fremantle and WAFC Life Member.
After the game the Club will be celebrating a reunion of the 1974, 1979 and 1994 Premierships. Attendees will include 1994 Premiership Coach Ken Judge (plus 1979 Premiership Player) and Captain Stephen Malaxos, 1974 Premiership Coach John Todd and Captain Graham Melrose and 1979 Captain Brian Peake.
