Jack Sheedy's legacy

Jack Sheedy is an iconic figure and a legend of WA football and the East Fremantle Football Club.

Sheedy debuted with East Fremantle at 15 in 1942. A member of East Fremantle’s undefeated team in 1946, he was appointed captain-coach three years later at the age of 22.

Sheedy's legacy at the East Fremantle Football Club is multifaceted. He is a club legend, a patron, a life member, winner of the Lynn Medal in 1948, 1953 and 1955, a captain, a coach, and a premiership player, showcasing his diverse and influential roles within the club.

Sheedy's influence extended beyond the field, earning him the title of 'Mr Football'. His mastery was evident as he played in five premiership sides at two clubs and represented WA 22 times, cementing his status as one of the greats.
