WAFLW Round 3 Wrap Up
In round 3 East Fremantle took on the Claremont Tigers at Revo Fitness on Sunday 17th March. Our Roger's Cup side had a great win at 9.8 (62) to Tigers 2.9 (21). Two debutants were able to wear the blue and white hoops in Olivia McCay and Jorja Weir. Changes to the side also included an additional five players with Tiani Teakle and Siena Jezierski-Brown both returning from the league side, as well as Issy Kumkar, Ruby O'Keeffee and Vice-Captain Alya Keady joining. Goal scorers included the impressive state 18s player Tiani Teakle with 4, Alya Keady 2, and singles for Ruby O'Keffee, Alicia Blizard and Montana Knight. Best players included Maya Louvel-Finn, Alicia Blizard, Tiani Teakle, Kai Clucas and Olivia McCay.
The 2023 Grand Final repeat saw a bit of a challenge for our side, with a loss to a very strong Tiger side at home. East Fremantle 1.5 (11) to Claremont 7.3 (45). A few changes included Rennie Meadmore and Jayda Jones making a debut for EFFC as well as Larissa Versaci back in the Round 3 line up. Our only goal scorer for the day was Chloe Reilly. Best players included, Zippy Fish, Natasha Entwistle, Chloe Wrigley, Maddy Obal and Taya Chambers.
Round 4, we take on Swan Districts at our temporary home, Fremantle Oval on Saturday 23rd March. Rogers 12:05pm and League 2:10pm, get down and support our girls for the first home game of the season!!
