Futures Round 2 Wrap Up
Our Futures team went from one extreme to another in more ways than one on the weekend.
In stark contrast to last week, we played at 5pm on a cool Sunday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. Coming of a great performance last week the boys were confident they could perform well against a strong Subiaco line up.
The game started as it finished with Subiaco dominating. Subiaco were very switched on from the commencement of the game and never allowed us to get our game going.
Whilst we tried to execute our game plan , some basic skill errors in our disposal meant we turned the ball over and against a good side they hurt you on the rebound. It was a real learning curve for our boys and for a few they need to realise they are being taught a game plan and style that will work for the team, and they all need to adhere to it for it to become successful.
Whilst we were dominated , Jack Annison and Josh Nathan worked tirelessy as midfielders and Kye Omerod provided a strong target up forward, finishing with 2 goals, before moving back in the second half.
We will now review and learn from the game and take a positive attitude in to this week’s game against East Perth, played at midday this Saturday at Sullivans Loogistic Stadium (Leederville Oval)
