Youngest Jack Sheedy Member Makes a Splash
While WAFL fans seem to be an aging breed, some of our most enthusiastic fans are our youngest.
At just 11 years old, Harry Brown is an up-and-coming junior footballer who plays for Brentwood Booragoon Junior Football Club. He is also our youngest Jack Sheedy member and has been signed up since he was born.
What is a Jack Sheedy member? Only the most exclusive and dedicated membership available for Sharks fans – limited to 125 memberships, it gives fans a chance to be a member – for life! These memberships proved extremely popular, and Bob has dutifully sold every one of them.
Harry has been following the Sharks since he was born and attended his first ever game at only 2 months old – the 2012 Grand Final.
When asked what made him love the Sharks, he said “I love playing half-time heroes with my brothers, sister and mates at Shark Park. I also love the Sharks as I got the opportunity to play at half-time at the 2nd semi at Fremantle oval and then again at Optus stadium for the Grand Final - both times beating Peel.”
Harry enjoyed his taste of Sharks fame at the 2023 WAFL Grand Final, playing in the half-time little league and even awarding Cody Leggett his premiership medal - “It was so exciting to walk up the stairs, then present the medal to Cody, then he gave me a firm handshake, a tap on the shoulder and a footy to take home. It was great to look around and see the premiership team, the crowd and the cameras”.
The 2023 WAFL Grand Final has become Harry’s favourite memory of the club, playing at half time and getting to be on the Premiership stage with Cody, “It felt like an AFL game for me playing at Optus Stadium in front of such a big crowd”.
Harry is one of our most dedicated supporters, and you can join him in the frenzy today by signing up as a Sharks member! https://membership.effc.com.au/
