14's Development Squad Wrap Up
Our 14’s squad came together in early August training two nights a week at Riverton Oval.
An induction was held after the first session welcoming both players and parents to the program and outlining the journey ahead both for the short-term program and the longer-term pathway as a future East Fremantle player.
After several weeks of training including numerous drills concentrating on decision making, ball winning ability and skills focus, combined with some intra club games the squad started to focus on some game plans and structures in readiness for the games ahead.
October school holidays finally arrived, and the boys were ready to play. Our first game was against South Fremantle with both teams competing well against some strong opposition. Day 2 saw us come up against Perth. On a hot day the teams were evenly matched and both games had some excellent skills on display. It was pleasing to see our teams executing the game styles that they had been learning over the previous weeks at training.
Thanks to the dedicated coaching staff of James Depane, Adam Waight, Ashley James, Trent Farmer, and Spencer Grebe, along with our S&C team of Bailey Ash, Alice Congdon and Mila Stojanoska, and our runner Lucas Madaffari.
The boys will now take a well-earned break from a long football season, and we will see them return next year as they continue the pathway with East Fremantle Football Club.
