East Fremantle travelled to Bassendean this past Sunday to tackle an in form Swan Districts.
In team news, Tessa Lynch and Chloe Williams made their League debut, Roxanne Roux appeared for the first time in the blue and white since Rd 14, 2021 while Caylen Crook and Tiani Teakle also returned to the side.
Swans started the better of the two teams winning more of the ball and pressuring the Sharks into errors. The home side hit the scoreboard kicking three unanswered goals.
Swans strengthened their grip on the contest as the Sharks struggled both in the contest and on the spread with Swans adding a further two goals leading into the main break. Pleasingly, the Sharks were able to correct some key indicators in the third term as Chloe Reilly kicked a clever goal off the ground from a forward half turnover.
East Fremantle built on their momentum from the third term with six scoring shots to one in the last. Mid-West product Jasmine Johansen booted her first career goal while Reilly kicked a further two goals taking her to fourth on the goal kicking list for the competition.
The Sharks play Claremont this Saturday, for the first time at the WACA under lights at 5pm.

In the earlier game, our Rogers Cup team came away with a narrow three-point victory.
Cartia Zumpano made her debut while Charlotte McGregor played her first game of the season and Madi Evans and Carys Gourlay returned to the 22.
The Sharks kicked 5 goals to 2 after half-time with Siena Jezierski-Brown’s stoppage goal putting the Sharks ahead late in the game. Jayda Jones kicked two goals with other goal kickers on the day being Summer Pollard, Maddison Kelly and Ruby Redman.
The Rogers Cup team come up against Perth on Saturday at 11.30 am at Mineral Resources Park.
