Welcome to the Sharks Brayden Lawler
East Fremantle would like to announce the signing of Brayden Lawler to the Sharks for the 2023 season.
Originally from the Carey Park Football Club, Brayden made his debut for Peel Thunder in 2015 and played 121 games for the Thunder, including the 2016 and 2017 Premierships. He returns to the WAFL after stepping away due to family and work commitments. Brayden is looking forward to the new challenge.
“It was a busy 2022 , with my partner and I becoming parents for the first time, but I had always wanted to return to the WAFL if things settled down. In my last few seasons at WAFL, you could see the Sharks starting to play some good football and last year they jumped back into finals. It’s an exciting time to join the club”.
Football Manager, Brad Dodd, gave us his insight on the new arrival.
“Brayden will add some valuable experience to our young forwards group. He’ll lead from the front with his attack on the ball and pressure. He also provides the coaching staff with another option to go through the midfield and have an impact”.
Lawler has been training for the last 3 weeks with the squad.
“I have really enjoyed the training so far. The players are really driven and hold each other accountable - there’s a real focus on the little things. It’s always an adjustment going into a new club but the players, coaches and staff have been really welcoming, which has made it easier. I can’t wait for the season to begin”.
Welcome to the Sharks Brayden, Lauren and Lenni.
