EFFC Community Support – Inaugural Murchison Marlu Junior Football League
EFFC Community Support – Inaugural Murchison Marlu Junior Football League
The Mid-West Region of WA (WACFL) recently completed the first season of a major grassroots initiative, with the start of the Murchison Junior Football League.
For six weeks, Primary school-aged children from Yalgoo, Mt Magnet and Meekatharra took part part in the new League, playing games in Cue.
It is hoped this will be the start of a fully-fledged season with participants given opportunities to play against other clubs in Geraldton, Newman, or Perth.
East Fremantle FC were contacted to see how we could help, we were only too happy to donate EFFC playing jumpers and other apparel to help the competition to get underway.
EFFC would like to recognize the work by Neil Montgomery (President) and Grady Tomelty (Regional Development Specialist WAFC) to get this League up and running.
