Fraser Turner signs with the Sharks

Welcome to the Sharks Fraser Turner

East Fremantle announce the signing of Fraser Turner to the club for the 2023 season.

Originally from the Clarence Roos JFC in Tasmania, Fraser was the youngest player drafted in the 2018 AFL draft, going to Richmond with pick 58. 4 picks later, at pick 62, Richmond picked up young West Australian, Luke English and the friendship between the 2 created the link that has led to Turner making the move West.

Football Manager, Brad Dodd, gave us his insight on the new arrival.

“Fraser adds to our group of strong running midfielders. He’s played mainly as a winger but we think he can run through the inside mid group and also play off half back. We originally spoke to him back in 2020 and have been following his progress since. He’ll fit in nicely with our young midfield group.”

Fraser is looking forward to reuniting with Luke English and beginning at the Sharks.

“I have watched a couple of Sharks games live and I love the way that East Fremantle play, they play an exciting brand of football which I think will suit my strengths. I’m really looking forward to reuniting with Luke- we were drafted to Richmond at the same time and he quickly became one of my best mates. Luke has sold the club and culture really well and that played a big part in making my decision. ”

Fraser will join the rest of his team mates for the start of pre-season in late November.
