Milan Murdock wins 2022 Lynn Medal

Milan Murdock has taken out the 2022 Lynn Medal, over-taking Sandover Medallist Blaine Boekhorst and outlasting Cam Eardley and Luke English in an even count.   Murdock, the hard in and under midfielder, went one better than his 2020 2nd place finish, capping off a fantastic season where he averaged 27 disposals, 6 tackles and 6 clearances to establish himself as one of the premier midfielders in the competition.

Hailing from the East Fremantle Junior Football Club, Murdock made his League debut in 2018 as an 18 year old, collecting 27 disposals on debut. The 22 year old, who has yet to play 50 games, is a key part of an exciting young midfield consisting of Kyle Baskerville, Luke English, Tom Bennett, Josh Schoenfeld and Blaine Boekhorst.

The Club also recognized Maureen Gathercole as our 2023 Match Day Ball Legend.  Maureen is a life member of the EFFC, a member of the Club since 1970.  Maureen has held numerous roles at the Club,  Club Historian, Club Editor of Magazine, Colts Co-Ordinator, Ladies Committee, Players Welfare Committee, Heritage Committee, Assistant Property Manager, Member and won WAFL Volunteer of the Year in 2014.
