Message from the CEO

Dear Members,
 
Let me start by congratulating Blaine Boekhorst, last night awarded the prestigious 2022 WAFL Sandover Medal.  What an honour, congratulations Blaine.   It was also great to see East Fremantle, Melbourne and Collingwood player and Brownlow Medallist, Shane Woewodin inducted into the WA Football Hall of Fame.

As you would be aware, last Sunday, our League side were unfortunately beaten by Claremont in the Preliminary Final, ending our 2022 finals campaign.    

Although bitterly disappointed in the result, we are sure you have witnessed a unity between our players and staff that will only see us come back even hungrier in 2023.
 
The Club will now concentrate on our up and coming move out of New Choice Homes Park for the next 15 months in preparation for works to commence here at East Fremantle Oval. 

• Our Administration will move to the Tricolore Community Centre in East Fremantle (cnr Wauhop Rd & Preston Point Rd, East Fremantle, opposite Wauhop Park) and will be fully operational by Monday 17^th October.
• Our Men & Women teams are set to train at a variety of ovals inside our East Fremantle zone over the next 15 months as they prepare for the 2023 season.
• Our last (in house) Hey Hey It’s Friday held at the EFFC is Friday 7^th October with Michael Barbaro, please be informed the following week we will move Hey Hey It’s Friday to the East Fremantle Bowls Club, from 14^th October, everyone is invited.

As you would all know we have a lot of Club assets, history & memorabilia attached to the Club over our 125 years, which our wonderful volunteers are removing over the next couple of weeks.
 
Today we would like to inform you of the opportunity for members and supporters to purchase items of memorabilia which are not going into storage for our new building.

Sharks End of Era – Clearance Sale – Conducted upstairs Lounge from Tuesday 4^th Oct till Thursday 6^th October from 10am till 5pm each day.

Sharks Redevelopment Foundation – Members & Supporters can get involved by donating to the Foundation which allows you to link your name/ company in history when we return to a new facility in 2024. (See link attached)  Funds from this will assist with the internal/external fit out of our new premises, such as preservation for our history, a shark monument, Sharks murals, equipment, and support for our players.  Further information here:
