Round 19 Teams Are In! Check out pre game with Taylor Cowper
East Fremantle hope to step closer to a top two finish in the WAFL with a win over Claremont this weekend.
Last weekend the Sharks secured a place in the finals for the first time since 2014 with a win at the WACA against Swan Districts.
The last time these two sides met was in round nine with the Tigers prevailing 14.11.95 to 11.13.79 over the Sharks.
The Sharks currently sit third on the ladder behind the Tigers which sets this game up to be the match of the round at Revo Fitness Stadium.
Sharks League Coach Bill Monaghan said the game against the Tigers will be a good challenge for his side. “Last time we played they got off to a great start. They kicked the first 5 goals of the opening term into a strong breeze”, said Monaghan. “In that game we fought back and played really well in the third. If we play like that it will go a long way in regards to setting up our finals.”
"It is an exciting time around the club locking in the finals but there is still a long way to go.” said Monaghan. “The staff, players and supporters are all really happy and it’s well deserved. We need to now focus on the next couple of weeks”.
Coming in to the side is Tom Monaghan who hasn’t played since round 3. He comes in as a replacement for Alex Montauban who will miss the game through injury.
The game will be broadcast live via the AFL App or AFL online and 91.3 SportFM.
League Bounce down is 2.10pm at Revo Fitness Stadium.
Immediately following the League game, EFFC Supporters are invited to attend award presentations at the The Left Bank, in the Conservertory area from 5.45pm.
