Round 18 Teams Are In! Check out pre game with Taylor Cowper
East Fremantle will look to bounce back into the winner’s circle against the Swan’s this Saturday at the WACA ground.
Coming off a bye week and after a tough loss to West Perth and will be looking to respond against Swan Districts.
The Sharks currently sit 3rd on the WAFL ladder and head into the game favourites who currently sit 6th on the ladder.
League Coach Bill Monaghan said it will be a tough match against the Swans this weekend but welcomes the challenge. “The Swans are going to be a real challenge for us. They play some great footy through the middle of the ground and they are tough up forward. They are going to be a real tough battle but we welcome that”.
Coming off a loss to West Perth the Sharks welcome back Jonothan Marsh who missed the game in Joondalup due to work commitments. “We were lacking up forward against West Perth”, said Monaghan. “Having Marsh back is important this weekend. He is a difficult match up for opposition sides and he brings a lot of energy to our forward line”.
Monaghan said the club is refreshed after the bye and is ready to tackle the last couple of rounds of the WAFL season. “We plan around byes. Since the WAFL introduced them players and staff have really welcomed them. We work our training schedule out leading up to it and work extremely hard on the track to give our players some time off”.
The Sharks also welcome back Jamie Meade from injury.
Blaine Boekhorst (ACL) and Durack Tucker (Broken hand) are outs this week.
League Bounce down is at 2.10pm at the WACA Ground. You can watch the game live through the AFL App or afl.com.au
