Rd 13 League - The Left Bank Wrap Up with Taylor Cowper
East Fremantle sit on top of the WAFL Ladder after defeating the Eagles on Saturday afternoon at Mineral Resources Park.
They reclaim top spot from West Perth after demolishing the Eagles 14.14 (98) to 5.6 (36) .
In the absence of Milan Murdock and Kyle Baskerville there were some players that really stood up for the Sharks. Jarrad Jansen had 34 disposals and kicked two goals whilst Blaine Boekhorst contributed 33 disposals, a goal and seven inside 50's.
The Sharks were outstanding in the first term keeping the Eagles scoreless. Reuben McGuire was superb early, kicking 2 goals for the Sharks. The Sharks lead at the first break by 28 points.
West Coast came back in the second quarter fighting back to go in to the main break trailing by only 29 points.
East Fremantle dominated the third term but kicking in front of goal hurt them kicking 1.7 for the term to the Eagles 1.1.
It was the complete opposite in the final term with the Sharks kicking 7.1 to gain a 62 point victory heading in the first Fremantle Derby at the WACA Ground next Saturday.
Jeremy Goddard will miss the Derby next Saturday after being suspended for a clash with West Coast Eagle Greg Clark, who left the ground in the third with a broken nose.
