Rd 12 - Colts Wrap Up

The East Fremantle Colts were beaten this past Saturday by Subiaco at Leederville Oval.

The Sharks were outhunted in the first quarter with Subiaco first to the ball and efficient when going forward. Luke Urquhart kicked the Sharks’ sole major of the opening term.

Positive signs were shown in the second term with the Sharks more direct with the ball doubling their opponents scoring shots with inaccuracy standing in the way of bridging the gap further at the main break.

The home side responded in the third term opening up a game high 29 point lead before consecutive goals to Sam Otto and Patrick Shaw narrowed the margin to 17 points. However that was the closest the Sharks got with Subiaco ending 35 point victors.

Better players were Kaleb Smith who ended with 31 touches and 3 intercept marks, Sam Otto who kicked 4 goals and took 4 contested marks, Phoenix Knight (23 disposals, 6 clearances), Lucas Brown (14 spoils, 3 tackles) and Chadd Dunscombe (8 tackles, 3 clearances).

The Colts next take on South Fremantle on July 23 at the WACA
