Rd 9 - Colts Wrap Up
East Fremantle Colts took on Claremont this past Saturday going down by 18 points.
Four players travelled down from the Mid-West region to represent the club in what was great recognition for both the players themselves and the Mid-West football academy.
The first quarter was an even affair with Claremont kicking the sole goal for the term. The away side lifted their work around the ball in the second quarter with the Sharks unable to match them heading into half time three goals down. The Sharks kicked the opening major of the third term through Jayke Scott however Claremont responded kicking three consecutive majors in four minutes.
In a positive sign, the home side reduced the margin to ten points in the final quarter however that was the closest they came with Claremont recording an 18 point victory.
Better players were Jayke Scott (20 touches, 23 hit outs, 8 I50’s and a goal), Luca Gangemi (19 touches, 6 marks and 6 tackles), Jack Johnston (13 contested possessions, 2 clearances and 3 score involvements), Jared Filmer (4 intercept marks and 7 tackles) and Zac Petersen (28 touches and 9 R50’s). The Colts take on Peel this Saturday at 9.10 am at the WACA
