Rd 9 Reserves Wrap Up

Monday, June 20, 2022 - 1:20 PM

The East Fremantle Reserves were outclassed by Claremont on Saturday, going down by 56 points in windy conditions at the WACA.

Kicking with the aid of a stiff breeze in the first quarter, the Sharks failed to capitalise and trailed by 13 points at the first break. Claremont extended their lead in the 2nd quarter to 32 points with Claremont punishing the Sharks on turnover.

The Sharks had their best quarter for the game in the 3rd, outscoring the Tigers but unable to make significant inroads into the margin.

East Fremantle were held goal-less in the last as the Tigers kicked 4 to run away with the victory and consolidate top spot on the ladder.

Better players for the Sharks on the day were Enrique Aiken-Featherstone, who once again lead the way through the midfield collecting 19 disposals and 7 tackles, Ethan Paholski, who spent time forward before moving to the midfield and picking up 24 disposals and 5 tackles, while Kobe McMillan continued his good recent form down back with 14 disposals and 4 marks.

The Sharks return to the WACA this Saturday to take on the 6th place Peel Thunder.
