Rd 7 Reserves Wrap Up
The East Fremantle Reserves team went down to South Fremantle by 46 points on Monday. It was a disappointing display from the Reserves, who now sit a game and percentage out of the 5. Like most Derby games, it was a tight and dour affair in the first quarter with the Bulldogs holding swap at the break, kicking 3 goals to 1. It was a similar story in the second quarter with the Sharks unable to find a reliable avenue forward and South Fremantle outscoring them 4 goals to 1. The young Sharks threw everything at the Bulldogs in the 2nd half but were unable to string consecutive goals together and South Fremantle came away with a comfortable victory.
Better players on the day were Keanu Haddow, who was resolute in defence and collected 20 disposals and had 8 spoils, Josh Ritchie, who played multiple roles and had 18 disposals and Jack Norrish, who had limited supply but managed 3 goals.
East Fremantle Reserves will be looking to halt its 4 game losing streak when it takes on West Perth at the WACA on Saturday.
