Rd 6 - Colts Wrap Up
East Fremantle suffered their second loss of the season going down by 15 points against Subiaco at the WACA on Saturday morning.
The opening half saw both sides have an even share of the ball however it was Subiaco making more of their chances going forward kicking 7.4 to 3.9 to the main break with debutant Xavier Bradshaw-Pini and Patrick Shaw looking lively for the Sharks early in the contest.
The Sharks forward line functioned better in the third term and were able to hit the scoreboard kicking five unanswered goals including two to debutant Cam Gillies.
The opening part of the final quarter was a see sawing affair before Subiaco kicked the final three goals of the game to run away 15 point victors.
Better players for the Sharks were Jed Hagan (20 disposals, 8 clearances, 11 tackles and a goal), Chadd Dunscombe (16 disposals, 5 clearances and 6 tackles), Ben Praxl (4 contested marks, 10 contested possessions and a goal), Patrick Shaw (5 marks, 2 inside 50’s and 2 goals) and Sam Otto (14 disposals, 8 marks and a goal).
The Colts take on South Fremantle on Monday at Fremantle Community Bank Oval with an earlier start time of 8.30 am.
