Rd 6 Reserves Wrap Up
East Fremantle were outlasted by Subiaco in the Reserves at the WACA on the weekend. After and even first half where both teams had control of the game at certain times, the Lions exploded in the 3rd quarter to kick 5 goals straight to 1.3 to open up a handy 25 point lead. The young Sharks threw everything at their opponents but Subiaco withstood the challenge and responded when they need to to run out 31 point winners.
Best player for the Sharks was Enrique Aiken-Featherstone. Enrique returned to action after sitting out a week after a head knock in the League against West Coast a fortnight ago. The tough inside mid once again threw himself into the fray and was able to push forward and kick 3 goals to go with his 19 disposals.
Other notable performances came from Reuben McGuire, who kicked 2 goals and competed well forward, Sam Collins, who continues to grow as a player down back and collected 16 disposals and Josh Ritchie, who provided drive off half back with 21 disposals. Congratulations to youngster, Darcy Wills, who made his Reserves debut for the Sharks. The 17 year old held down a key back position and provided a strong aerial contest.
The Sharks Reserves will be looking to bounce back against South Fremantle in the Derby on Monday.
