2021 AFL DRAFTED WARNER, WILLIAMS & WOEWODIN
2021 AFL DRAFTED WARNER, WILLIAMS & WOEWODIN
On behalf of the East Fremantle Football Club we wish to congratulate our three players drafted in yesterday's NAB AFL Draft.
Corey Warner - Pick 40 to Sydney:
East Fremantle, Willetton JFC / Aquinas College
The Willetton/Aquinas product heads to Sydney at pick 40. Corey played League and Colts football for the Sharks throughout the season showing he can play both on the inside and outside. Corey is a gut runner with a penetrating left foot. Corey will join brother Chad at the Sydney Swans with Chad holding bragging rights being pick 39 two years ago.
Jack Williams - Pick 57 to West Coast:
East Fremantle FC, Rossmoyne FC
The Rossmoyne junior remains in WA after being selected at pick 57 by the West Coast Eagles. Standing at 194 cm, Jack possesses strong endurance and versatility having played in multiple positions over the past two years where he has shown to read the play well at either end of the ground along with developing his ruck craft.
Taj Woewodin - Pick 65 to Melbourne:
East Fremantle, Booragoon JFC/Aquinas College/Coorparoo JAFC-QAFL
Taj joins the Demons at pick 65 as a father-son selection. The Booragoon/Aquinas product captained the Sharks Colts side this year playing as an inside mid and forward where he averaged 23 disposals and kicked 9 goals over his 15 games. Taj joins 2019 Shark draftees Luke Jackson and Trent Rivers at the Dees.
Wishing the remaining Sharks players all the best in today's NAB AFL Rookie Draft.
Onward to Victory boys!
