It is a very exciting time for the East Fremantle Football Club (EFFC) as we announce our 2022 & 2023 WAFL Season home games will be played at the prestigious WACA ground.

EFFC President Mark Stewart said “The WACA offers a high-class playing surface for players, excellent viewing and hospitality for Sponsors, Members and visiting teams alike.  We believe our members, sponsors, players, and supporters will be delighted on what the WACA can provide.”

“We would like to the thank the executive at WA Cricket for their ongoing support and we look forward to a positive partnership for both parties over the next 2 years.”

Christina Matthews, WA Cricket CEO says;

“We’re excited to have footy back here at the WACA Ground and look forward to sharing our home with East Fremantle over the next two years.

“This is the first step in transforming the Ground into a boutique multi-sport and community venue that complements Optus Stadium, with a permanent capacity of approximately 10, 000 seats.

“There is such a rich sporting history at the WACA Ground and WAFL plays a big part in that history, so this partnership is an opportunity to create more incredible sporting moments for WA fans.”

EFFC home at New Choice Homes Park, Moss Street, East Fremantle will be redeveloped as part of the Town of East Fremantle’s $26.5M Precinct Redevelopment with work to commence in April 2022.

Full architectural drawings and designs will be available in the new year to show members and supporters what we will be returning to at the end of 2023.

EFFC would like to acknowledge naming rights sponsor New Choice Homes who continue to sponsor our spiritual home at Shark Park, Moss Street.  Our social hall, members bar & administration block will stay for the length of the Redevelopment, only to be demolished once new facility is built.
