Round 2 Match Preview | Sharks v Lions
The Sharks will line up for their first official game at New Choice Homes Park in 2021 this Saturday, against Subiaco.
Buoyed by their first Round 1 victory since 2016, East Fremantle should take confidence from their second half performance that saw them kick eight goals to defeat Peel by 32 points.
A back to back win will be no easy feat for the Sharks, with Subiaco returning to their dominant form against East Perth last week. It was back in 2016 that the Sharks last got the four points over Subiaco, and if our pre-season clash was anything to go by, it is set to be a hot contest between the two sides.
There are a few forced changes this weekend with Corey Chalmers and Durak Tucker missing with injury. Jordan Snadden returns to the league side after an impressive hit-out in the Reserves last week alongside Cameron Davidson in defence.
Michael Tassone, Hugh Dixon, Cody Smith and Finn Gorringe have been listed as emergencies and if selected, the latter three would be in line to make their Sharks league debut.
Our Reserves and Colts will also be looking to back up their great start to the 2021 season with wins against Subiaco this weekend.
The Reserves were dominant against Peel last week, and will welcome the return of Ambrose Ryan, Corey Holmes and Campbell Tirant into the side.
In the first game of the day, it will be a tough clash for our Colts against the reigning premiers.
