Colts Prelim Final Preview
The East Fremantle Colts are just one win away from the 2020 WAFL Grand Final.
To get there, they will have to defeat Subiaco this Sunday in the preliminary final at Fremantle Community Bank Oval.
It will be no easy feat, with the Sharks yet to prevail over Subiaco in this year’s home and away season. The sides met in the pre-season and the penultimate 2020 round, with the fast-finishing Lions claiming both victories.
That being said, the Sharks are the only side to have defeated the confirmed grand finalists, Claremont.
First year Head Coach Adrian Ricciardello told Sport FM that it was a credit to player’s competitive spirit and their resilience that they are up for the challenge.
“We want to show case our best footy on the biggest days and I think our best footy is still to come,” Ricciardello said.
“We would just like to play more consistently over four quarters, especially in big matches.”
East Fremantle will again look to their strong defence, that held West Perth to just three goals in the semi final last week as well as their midfield speedsters to bring the ball into the forward line.
