Ricciardello to lead East Fremantle Colts
The East Fremantle Football Club are excited to reveal Adrian Ricciardello as our new Colts Coach.
In 2016, after playing 109 games for the Sharks, Ricciardello was offered an assistant coaching position with the Colts and in first year was part of the 2017 Premiership.
Since then, Ricciardello has coached in a variety of development roles within the club as well as assisting with the Women’s program.
Both honoured and buoyed by his appointment, Ricciardello said he is looking forward to getting started.
“It means a lot to me, it feels like the culmination of a lot of hard work over the last three years,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to bringing the club to the next level, developing youth for the talent academy and the next wave of league players. It means a lot to me to be in this role, so I’m excited.”
Heralded for his leadership skills as a player, Ricciardello said it would be a focus of his program.
“Leadership has been one of my strengths and the culture that I bring, wanting to develop every player on our list to try and get the best out of everyone.”
Outside of football, Adrian owns the gym at Fremantle Oval. He runs boxing and leadership programs, helping teens with mental health issues and disadvantaged people.
“I am really excited to get started and put my own stamp on this role, bringing the club forward and developing as many players as I can for League footy – as well as trying and get some players drafted.”
