Snadden Returns to Circle with Sharks
The East Fremantle Football Club is excited to announce the return of one its own, with youngster Jordan Snadden signing with the Sharks for the next two seasons.
At 20 years of age, the big bodied inside midfielder with a racking left kick and great character will don the Blue and White, re-uniting with many of his former Colts team mates.
“Signing Jordan is another coup for the Sharks going forward and it’s fantastic getting an East Fremantle product back into our system,” Rob Wiley said.
“His experience having spent the last two years at AFL will be invaluable for our group and as a player, Jordan offers us a lot of flexibility to our team structures.”
Snadden made his way through the Sharks academy pathway, debuting in the colts as a 16-year-old in 2013. Earning a position in the State 18’s side, Snadden attracted the attention of recruiters which ultimately saw him selected by West Coast in the 2015 AFL Rookie Draft with pick number 17.
Joining this afternoon’s training session, Snadden said he’s excited to be back.
“It’s great to be back. I’m looking forward to getting into it and meeting all the guys I haven’t in the past. Many of my good mates are also here,” Snadden said.
Athletic by nature, he excelled during the testing at the draft combine, topping the standing vertical jump results and finishing top 10 in the running vertical jump, 20m sprint and repeat sprints.
In his two years with the Eagles, Snadden played some impressive games for the alignment side, East Perth, but unfortunately couldn’t break into the strong West Coast team. Registering 14 league games this year, his form in the back end of the season particularly, will give him confidence going into 2018.
Snadden no doubt will be a vital part of the Sharks revival.
