Omodei now a Shark
The East Fremantle Football Club is excited to announce that the 2016 Prendergast Medallist (best player in the WAFL Reserves), Thomas Omodei, will be joining the Sharks for season 2017.
Omodei, originally from East Perth, enjoyed an outstanding year in the WAFL Reserves competition, averaging 28 possessions per game, nine times passing 30 or more. Omodei’s 524 disposals ranked him 1st in the competition. He also finished the 2016 season ranked 4th for total marks, 1st for effective kicks, 1st for inside 50’s and he also ranks inside the top 20 for clearances and top ten for score assists.
Standing 187cm, the rangy built Omodei, who has excellent running capacity, managed to play 5 senior games with the Royals but will be looking to add to those numbers with the Sharks in season 2017 and beyond. His outside run and excellent ball use will no doubt make him a fantastic acquisition to the Club.
Everyone at the East Fremantle Football Club welcomes Thomas to “Shark Park” and look forward to seeing him take to the track this coming Monday.
