Sharks extend contract of Senior Coach Bill Monaghan
East Fremantle, Western Australia - The East Fremantle Football Club (EFFC) is pleased to announce that senior coach Bill Monaghan has extended his contract with the club until the end of the 2025 season.
Since joining the club in 2018, Monaghan has overseen a significant change in culture and list overhaul which has transformed EFFC into a destination club. Under his leadership, the team made the preliminary final last season, and a strong off-season recruitment campaign has the club pushing further toward premiership success.
EFFC President Mark Stewart is thrilled with the contract extension and what it means for the club's future. He said, "Bill has been an integral part of the club's success in recent years, and we are delighted that he has committed to leading the team until at least 2025. He has a clear vision for the club's future and has worked tirelessly to create a positive culture and develop our players. His leadership and strategic thinking have been instrumental in taking the club forward."
Monaghan's contract extension comes as the club looks forward to moving into their brand new facility at East Fremantle Oval in 2024. The state-of-the-art facility will provide the club with a world-class training and playing environment and further enhance their ability to attract and retain talent.
Monaghan is excited about the opportunity to continue building on the success of recent seasons, saying, "I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue coaching the East Fremantle Football Club. We have made significant progress over the past few years, and I am excited about the potential of this group. With the new facility and the support of the club, we are well-positioned to take the next step and achieve our goals."
With Monaghan at the helm, the East Fremantle Football Club is looking forward to a bright future and continued success on and off the field.
