Round 17 Preview | West Perth
East Fremantle are on the road this Saturday to Joondalup Arena taking on West Perth.
The two sides met in Round 5 this year, where it was a real arm wrestle for the majority of the match. Unfortunately, the Sharks couldn’t capitalize on their hard work and West Perth ran away winners late in the game. The Sharks have come a long way since then under the direction of Bill Monaghan so it will be a great test against his old side.
Into the side this week comes experienced player Nick Kommer, who has just committed to the Sharks for the 2020 season, along with an injection of youth, in Milan Murdock, Michael Tassone and Tim Bockman. Blaine Boekhorst has also recommitted, signing on for another 2 seasons.
The Reserves will need a strong performance as they gear up for a finals campaign. The Sharks, (currently in 4th position) are only percentage behind West Perth (2nd) and Subiaco (3rd) so a win would benefit the boys in their push for September action. Alex Bray returns after a long absence through injury.
Our Colts should go into their clash against The Falcons with some confidence after defeating the competition’s ladder leaders before the bye.
