2019 Preseason Update

The Senior program restarted in preparation for the 2019 season on the 7th January. With 3 months before Round 1, the squad currently has only 2 players on its long-term Injury list; graduating Colt, Josh Ritchie recovering from an ACL injury and Dion Anthony recovering from a finger operation. Kody Manning and Blaine Boekhorst are on modified programs as they build towards a Round 1 return. 

Sean Fletcher has returned to the club after being unlikely to play in 2019 due to work commitments. We have also signed Alex Bray from Peel Thunder. Alex is a dashing defender who adds flexibility to our defensive unit. We’re excited to have Alex on board. The new additions to the club in Morgan Davies, Luke Strnadica, Kyle Havelberg and Kody Manning are all settling in. 

It’s pleasing to see Kyle Baskerville, Tom Bennett and Jesse Adamini return to the club. All 3 were talented juniors and should be pressing to play Senior football early in 2019. The squad also has a number of graduating Colts joining the Senior ranks with Milan Murdock, Tom Monaghan, Nick Watson, Dillon O'Reilly and Max Murphy impressing through the pre-Xmas period. 

The squad will be close to being finalised over the next few weeks and the players will continue to prepare for our opening practice game against Peel on the 16th March at Shark Park.
