East Fremantle travel to Leederville on Sunday in a crunch game against the in form East Perth. Coming off a 14 point loss to South Fremantle, the Sharks sit in equal 4th with East Perth with a 5-3 record. East perth were impressive in slippery conditions against West Perth and will head into the clash in confident form.
Boasting an imposing midfield, comprising of State midfielders Mitch Crowden, Angus Schumacher and Hamish Brayshaw, and the dominant ruckman in the competition in Scott Jones, East Perth will be looking to gain the ascendency in this area and provide their forwards with plenty of opportunities. Coming off a best on ground performance in the Derby, Hugh Dixon will face a huge challenge against the imposing Jones. Reuben McGuire could also be thrown the challenge of quelling Jones.
The East Fremantle mosquito fleet in Kyle Bakerville, Luke English, Milan Murdock and Tom Joyce will be looking to bounce back after being shaded against the Bulldogs. Down forward, Jonathon Marsh, Cody Leggett and Dillon O’Reilly all lowered their colours last week and will be looking to respond.
After a thrilling draw in the Reserves, the Sharks 2s face a crucial challenge against the Royals. Both teams sit outside the top 5 and 4 points will be needed to stay in touch with the leading pack. In the Colts, the young Sharks will be looking to consolidate their spot in the 5 after an impressive showing against the Bulldogs.
The Colts kick off at 910am, Reserves at 1140am and the League at 210pm on the weekend.
