Kody Manning becomes a Shark

Friday, November 9, 2018 - 2:23 PM

The East Fremantle Football club is excited to announce that Kody Manning has signed with the Sharks for the next 2 seasons.

Manning, who has won many admirers with his aggressive attack on the ball, joins the club having spent the past 8 seasons at West Perth. Manning played 104 games for the Falcons, including the 2013 WAFL Grand Final win.

The tough utility can play through all three zones and his strong relationship with new Head Coach, Bill Monaghan, was a factor in his desire to join the Sharks.

Monaghan said he was looking forward to reuniting with the 27-year-old at East Fremantle.

“I’m really glad Kody chose us and that we can continue working together,” Monaghan said.

Football Operations Manager, Brad Dodd said that after an extensive list management process, the Club identified the type of players we needed to add to the group.

“We feel that Kody addresses a lot of those needs,” Dodd said.

“He is a hardworking, uncompromising type who puts a lot of pressure on the opposition.”

“Kody is capable of playing multiple positions and thrives on making his team mates better.”

The Sharks look forward to Kody donning the Blue and White for preseason in the coming weeks.
