Clinton Bolton appointed as EFFC Mid-West Indigenous Development Officer
East Fremantle Football Club are excited to announce the appointment of Clinton Bolton as our Mid-West Indigenous Development Officer.
Reporting to CEO, Todd Shimmon, the role was created to support our Indigenous Mid West players with on and off-field pursuits and any wellbeing needs. It’s a new position for the Sharks and Bolton believes it’s an exciting addition to the Mid West program.
“I am excited to help support young Indigenous talent here in the Mid West, playing a part in giving them every opportunity to succeed and showcase their talents”.
While the program is in its infancy stage, Clinton sees the program as having great potential.
“East Fremantle and the Mid West have always had a strong bond and this is something really positive for the Mid West Indigenous community. We all have a common interest and if we can work together with the young athletes, families, community members, stakeholders and supporting networks, I can only see great things ahead”.
Sharks CEO Todd Shimmon believes it will help fast track the Mid West Indigenous players.
“We have implemented this new role to help support our Indigenous players who are looking to develop their football and life skills in the Mid West. We hope that Clinton will provide the players added support as they embark on their football journey.”
Bolton believes that there is a high number of talented Indigenous players in the Mid West.
“The talent is amazing. A lot of these young men and women have had footballs in their hands before they could walk. This is just the beginning and I’m looking forward to seeing where these players and the program goes."
Welcome to the Sharks Clinton.
