Welcome Back Hugh Dixon

East Fremantle would like to announce the signing of Hugh Dixon for the 2023 season.

Originally from the Kingsborough Tigers in Tasmania, Hugh has rejoined the Sharks after spending the season at the West Coast Eagles, where he played 10 AFL games, kicking 5 goals.

Football Manager, Brad Dodd, gave us his insight on the return of Dixon.

“We’re really excited to have Hugh back on board. He had worked really hard to give himself an opportunity to find his way back onto an AFL list and we’re all disappointed it hasn’t quite panned out the way he wanted. He has a strong connection with our playing group and was a regular visitor at our games so we’re looking forward to seeing him don the Blue and White in 2023.”

Dixon is looking forward to rejoining the group.

“While disappointed things didn’t work out at West Coast, I’m extremely excited to be back at the Sharks for the 2023 season. After watching the team take some huge steps forward this season, I’m bullish on what we can achieve next season. I’m looking forward to getting back to work and catching up with the boys.”

Hugh will rejoin the group when they begin pre-season training in late November.
