East Fremantle has made a powerful statement to open its second season in the WA Wheelchair Football League Competition, recording back-to-back wins across Round 1 and Round 2 at Cockburn ARC on Sunday, 28 September 2025.

Round 1: Dominant Victory Over Swan Districts

The Sharks got their campaign underway in emphatic fashion with a 64-point win over Swan Districts. From the early stages of the game, East Fremantle’s intensity and teamwork set the tone.

    • Q1: East Fremantle jumped out with 34 points to 1.

    • Q2: By half time the lead had stretched to 67–14.

    • Q3: The Sharks piled on another 37 points to effectively seal the game.

    • Final Score: East Fremantle 19.8 (122) def. Swan Districts 9.4 (58)

It was a complete team performance, with East Fremantle showing sharp ball movement, relentless pressure, and impressive scoring efficiency.

Round 2: Hard-Fought Win Against Peel Thunder

Backing up in the second game of the day, East Fremantle faced a determined Peel Thunder outfit. In a much tighter contest, the Sharks rallied from a slow start to secure a hard-earned 18-point victory.

    • Q1: Peel Thunder opened stronger, leading 28–13.

    • Q2: East Fremantle began to find their rhythm. 27-55.

    • Q3: The Sharks surged with a huge third term to take control, hitting the scoreboard with precision.74-67.

    • Final Score: East Fremantle 15.9 (99) def. Peel Thunder 12.9 (81)

This match highlighted the Sharks’ resilience, with the team digging deep in the second half to outplay Peel Thunder when it mattered most.
