Head Strength & Conditioning Coach – Colts

About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Strength & Conditioning Coach to join our Colts program for the 2026 season.

The Head Strength & Conditioning Coach will lead the physical preparation of our Colts athletes, ensuring they are optimally prepared to perform at the highest level of Australian Rules Football. This role will work closely with the Club’s High-Performance Manager, Talent Manager, Head Coach, Head Physiotherapist, and other S&C staff to deliver a professional, high-performance environment.

Season: 2026 (12-month contract)

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Design & Delivery:

    • Develop and implement a world-class S&C program aligned with the Club’s football philosophy.

    • Integrate conditioning, speed, agility, and reconditioning programs to enhance performance and resilience.

    • Collaborate with medical and physiotherapy staff to oversee return-to-play programs.

  • Monitoring, Data & Research:

    • Lead athlete monitoring systems (GPS, wellness, load management, testing).

    • Conduct regular testing and performance benchmarking.

    • Provide evidence-based reports and insights to coaches and management.

  • Leadership & Collaboration:

    • Mentor assistant S&C staff and students.

    • Foster strong communication across High-Performance and Coaching departments.

    • Uphold and promote the Club’s Football Trademark and high-performance culture.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.

  • Sound knowledge of athlete development, load management, and injury prevention.

  • Experience within a state-level or high-performance sporting environment.

  • Growth mindset and passion for elite sport.

Essential Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in Sports/Exercise Science or related field.

  • ASCA Level 1 Strength & Conditioning Certification (minimum).

  • Current ESSA or ASCA registration.

  • Current First Aid and CPR.

  • Experience with GPS and athlete monitoring tools.

Desirable:

  • ASCA Level 2 Certification.

  • Experience with national-level athletes.


Futures Line Coach

About the Role
We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for a Line Coach within our 2026 Futures Program.

This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring coaches who are committed to player development, have strong leadership values, and are eager to contribute to a high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Coach in delivering an elite-level Futures program.

  • Focus on player development and implementing structured training sessions.

  • Provide clear and constructive feedback to players at training and on game days.

  • Identify player strengths and areas for improvement.

  • Uphold the Club’s values and help drive a strong football culture.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 1 AFL Coaching Accreditation (or currently working towards).

  • Experience coaching within the WAFL Talent Pathway or similar.

  • Leadership qualities and alignment with the Club’s cultural standards.

  • Current Working with Children Check.

Commitment:

  • Mid-November to August/September.

  • 2x training sessions per week (late afternoons) during pre-season.

  • 2x training sessions + game day commitments during the in-season period.
