COLTS GRAND FINAL: SHARKS READY FOR DERBY SHOWDOWN

The stage is set for a massive WAFL Colts Grand Final, with the East Fremantle Sharks set to face traditional rivals South Fremantle for the 2026 premiership.

After a superb home-and-away campaign, the Sharks enter the decider having finished the season on top of the Colts ladder with 13 wins from 16 games. East Fremantle’s reward for that impressive campaign was a place directly in the Second Semi Final, where they produced a commanding 64–28 victory over Claremont to book their spot in the Grand Final.

South Fremantle have taken a different route to the decider. After finishing second on the ladder with the same 13–3 record as the Sharks, the Bulldogs defeated Claremont 88–61 in Sunday’s Preliminary Final to earn their place in the Grand Final.

The Grand Final brings together two sides that have enjoyed outstanding seasons and adds another chapter to the long-standing rivalry between East Fremantle and South Fremantle.

For the Sharks, it is the culmination of a season built on consistency. East Fremantle’s 13 wins during the home-and-away season were enough to secure top spot, while their 36-point semi-final victory showed they have carried that form into September.

With a premiership now within reach, the Colts will be looking to bring the same intensity, discipline and team-first football that has taken them to the biggest game of the season.

It all comes down to one game.
