East Fremantle hosted West Perth at The Good Grocer Park, as round 18 marked the final home-and-away match of the 2026 WAFLW season. The excitement was building around the ground, the Sharks knowing a victory would secure a home elimination final.

West Perth made the stronger start, applying pressure around the contest and causing East Fremantle turnovers. The Falcons controlled field position through strong clearance work and capitalised with an early goal.

Mackenzie Webb began to influence the game off half back for East Fremantle, driving the ball inside 50. West Perth continued to make the most of their opportunities and maintained scoreboard control. The Falcons managed to extend the margin slightly before the main break.

West Perth looked to have the edge during the premiership quarter. With plenty of the football around stoppages, West Perth added another two goals and stretched the lead beyond three goals. The final term belonged entirely to East Fremantle, as the Sharks lifted their pressure around the contest. Mackenzie Webb continued to dominate off Half Back, while the forwards capitalised on repeat inside-50 entries. The Sharks piled on 4 goals in a remarkable comeback, while restricting West Perth to the one behind. A captains goal from Tiani Teakle putting the Sharks in front for the time in the game just 3 points in front with just minutes until the final siren.
