60 Years at East Fremantle Oval

On April 25th, 1953 the East Fremantle Football Club celebrated the permanent move to East Fremantle Oval with a Round 1 victory versus Claremont, 7.18 (60) to 8.10 (58).

In 2013, in Round 6 versus East Perth the Club will celebrate the 60th year of being at East Fremantle Oval with members of the 1953 side; some of which were part of the first victory versus Claremont.

The following players will be in attendance on the day:

Jack Sheedy – East Fremantle Football Club Legend (2012), 210 games, 2 Premierships, 4 Lynn Medals (incl. 1953), AFL Hall of Fame, WA Football Hall of Fame

Wilson Onions- East Fremantle Football Club Hall of Fame inductee (2012), 2013 Match Ball Legend, 101 games, 1 Premiership, President East Fremantle Past Players 1962-2004

Percy Johnson- East Fremantle Football Club Hall of Fame inductee (2012), 1 Premiership, 180 games, WA Football Hall of Fame

Harold Jefferys – East Fremantle Football Club Hall of Fame inductee (2012) ,155 games, Lynn Medallist 1952, 1 Premiership

Bill Heathcote- 86 games

Barry Lynn – 1 game

Des Martiensen – 5 games

Alan Preen – 122 games, WA Football Hall of Fame, 2 Lynn Medals

Harry Regan – 68 games

Keith Stewart – 95 games

The Club has also invited all residents of East Fremantle to the game and provided two free admissions as a thank you for their support and that of the Town of East Fremantle.
