Bray Becomes a Shark

Friday, December 21, 2018 - 10:14 AM

The East Fremantle Football Club is excited to announce the signing of twenty-one-year-old Alex Bray.

Bray played 26 league games for Peel Thunder, narrowly missing out on Grand Final selection in 2016 and 2017. Unfortunately, a thumb injury curtailed his year in 2018

A dashing half back, Bray has the ability to play in multiple positions and said he was looking forward to the move.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity to play at East Fremantle,” Bray said.

“The club has had a couple of tough years but I’m looking forward to training hard, earning a place in the side and being a part of a resurgence.”

Bray will offer some flexibility to the Sharks Coaching staff, with his ability to lock down, provide run off half back and go through the wing, being a strong selling point for the Football Department.

Football Manager, Brad Dodd, who worked with Alex over the last few years at Peel, is excited by the signing.

“Alex addresses some key areas we wanted to bolster in the off-season,” Dodd said.

“He offers us some speed, the ability to play on small or tall forwards as well as having good character with a strong work ethic.”

Bray joins Kody Manning, Morgan Davies and Kyle Havelberg as new signings at the Sharks while Luke Strnadica, Kyle Baskerville, Andrew Stokes, Tom Bennett and Jesse Adamini return to the club after time away.

We welcome Alex to the Sharks and look forward to him joining the group when training restarts in early January.
