Two More to Taste Senior Footy
Zack Jackson and Milan Murdock will take East Fremantle’s debutant tally to 20 this season when the Sharks face East Perth at Leederville Oval on Saturday.
As part of the Colts 2017 Premiership side, Jackson and Murdock are great stories to come out of the Sharks development pathway. Both came through our development squads, played colts and have now made the transition into senior football.
2017 Colts Best and Fairest winner Jackson is a blossoming talent. Averaging 21 disposals a game in the reserves, his ability to find the ball and make in impact on the match is exceptional. The strong marking half back has been a consistent performer, who has been outstanding on return from an injury setback and thoroughly deserves his chance.
A tough inside mid, Murdock is an outstanding athlete with excellent endurance. With offensive and defensive aspects to his game, Murdock is a Shark that is set to excite. His exuberance and competitiveness have already filtered through the group. Murdock's training standards since joining the senior squad have been terrific and he will be ready to go.
There have been several changes to the league side with Bonomelli, Fletcher, Griffin, Harding, Harrold and Henson coming into the 25.
With the Royals vying for a spot in the finals it’s set to be a hot contest at Leederville Oval.
The Development League will look to continue their pre-bye form against a strong East Perth outfit.
It’s an important match for our Colts side, who are looking to secure 4 points as finals approach. Sitting in
fourth sport with just three home and away games to go, every game counts for our young Sharks.
