Round 10 Match Preview
The East Fremantle Sharks will take on the undefeated Subiaco Lions this Saturday at Leederville Oval.
It will be no easy feat for the Sharks, with a 5-day turnaround while the Lions are fresh off the bye.
The sides have only met in the preseason this year, where Subiaco ran out victors.
There are several inclusions to this week’s side with injuries from the derby forcing some changes. While a number of players from the development league made strong cases for selection. Into the 25 this week comes Dion Anthony, Ben Harding, Sean Henson, Zac McCarrey, Chris Scott, Jordan Snadden, Russell Wynne and Zac Jackson, the latter a potential to make his league debut.
The team will be without Ambrose Ryan and Ryan Lester-Smith, who are both out with concussion. Having battled with an ongoing shoulder injury, James Bristow has made a forced decision to seek surgery which will see him miss the rest of the season. The club would James a speedy recovery.
Despite last week’s loss, the Sharks had showed encouraging signs and will need to make the most of scoring opportunities.
Bolstered by consecutive wins, the Development League will look to register their fourth win against a strong Subiaco outfit.
The Colts returned to the winner’s circle after a strong win against derby rivals. There will be a few changes to the side, with PSA commitments.
